Lizard Circular Walk
Mullion–Poldhu and Polurrian Coves 3½ – 4 miles Approx 2½ – 3 hours.
This moderately challenging walk follows the footsteps of evangelists, inventors, royalty and Clark Gable! History is immediately evident as the remains of a huer’s hut is passed. Vistas across Mount’s Bay stretch to Gwennap Head, Newlyn and Penzance! Crossing the thrift carpeted Angrouse cliff top the footpath continues past the monument commemorating Marconi’s Trans-Atlantic radio transmission in 1901. On the return a farm iwhere John Wesley stayed is passed, before heading back to the starting point where a cream tea awaits.
