Itinerary:

Spend a half day (up to 5 hours) enjoying famous sites along Plymouth’s historic Barbican and picturesque Waterfront on a panoramic tour of the city as you make your  way towards the River Tamar crossing into the neighbouring county of Cornwall. Here you will spend time discovering the many facets of the country estate of Mount Edgcumbe former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumb.

On this tour, hear stories of Mount Edgecumbe’s historic and unusual house, C18th gardens in French, Italian and English styles and landscaped parkland that borders the scenic waterways of the River Tamar and Plymouth Sound brought alive.

Stroll around the distinctive ancestral home of the Edgcumbe family, which evolved over almost five hundred years. Browse around the unique independent shopping village, stop for a cream tea or other refreshment in the historic Orangery Garden Café, or enjoy a local tipple in the Edgecumbe Arms at Cremyll, before making your way back to Plymouth.
